Motor Fleet Insurance
Fleet insurance can be taken out if you have 2 or more vehicles and can simplify managing and keeping track of your fleet as they are all combined onto a single policy with one renewal date.
Fleet insurance can consist of company cars, vans, motorbikes, taxis, HGV’S, LGV’S or a mixture of them all.
With a fleet insurance policy there are three levels of cover:
- Comprehensive – This will provide you the most protection on the vehicles, covering any damage caused to your own or third party vehicle or property as a result of an accident, whether it be a fault or non fault. This also covers the vehicles from against Theft and any resulting damage if recovered and from Fire Damage. This is the most expensive of the three due to the increased level of protection.
- Third Party Fire & Theft – This covers all third party vehicles or property against any damage, whilst covering your own vehicles against damage from theft or fire only.
- Third Party Only – The most basic cover which offers no protection for your own vehicles but will cover claims made against you for damages by any third parties.
There are a number of ways to reduce the cost of your fleet insurance, by setting a minimum age of 25, increasing the policy excess and the vehicle being fitted with a good level of security.
